The For …. series is a collaboration with a friend and local maker Clumsy, the artworks continue investigations into object empathy in a new form. Planar tracings of the makers are taken, each tracing reacting to the previous, empathising with the condition before. Layered onto this empathy is the very notion of a stuffed object taking on properties of an action acted upon it.
Using sustainable timber and deadstock fabric along with stuffing from recycled water bottles and local fashion designers offcuts, the works minimise waste and are sustainably sourced.
